We remove methane
Sixteen44 has proven a world-first technology that destroys the potent greenhouse gas methane at hotspots with the highest emissions including dairy farms, landfills, and coal mines.
Unlike any other existing solution, the technology works at the non-flammable, non-capturable methane concentrations which make up more than two thirds of all methane emissions worldwide.

The Methane Crisis
Methane is an invisible, yet potent greenhouse gas that traps >80x more heat in the atmosphere than CO . Removing it is the fastest way to cool our planet and widely acknowledged by scientists
as an emergency break on climate change.

Rapidly decelerating climate change with methane removal

Permanent Removal
Our proprietary process replicates methane oxidation found in nature, only much faster.
Low Energy
Our world-first technology works at low temperatures, requiring minimal energy input.
Monetized
We transform an environmental burden into a commercial asset, sharing the value of the resulting carbon credits directly with the operators.

Creating a Sustainable Future
Every tonne of methane we remove has the climate impact equivalent to removing 86 tonnes of CO from the atmosphere. Our technology doesn't just reduce emissions – it actively reverses climate damage.
2
Methane’s relatively short atmospheric lifetime and its strong warming potential means that actions to reduce emissions can slow the rate of warming and provide many other societal and environmental benefits within a matter of decades.
