1. Who we are
Sixteen44 SA ("Sixteen44", "we", "us") operates this website and is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Scope
This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through sixteen44.com. It applies to visitors to this website and to people who contact us through it. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
3. What we collect and why
a) Information you give us. When you complete our contact form we collect your first and last name, company or organisation, email address, industry, and any details you choose to provide about your site or in your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, to discuss whether our technology applies to your site.
b) Information collected automatically. Our website is hosted by Wix, which records technical information when you visit - including IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages viewed and time of visit. This is used to operate the site securely and understand how it is used.
c) Cookies. See section 8.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for non-essential cookies and for any marketing communications; the necessity of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) when you ask us about our services; and our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating, securing and improving our website. Under the FADP we process personal data where it is lawful, proportionate, and carried out in good faith for the purposes described above.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only as needed to provide their service:
· Wix.com Ltd. - website hosting, form submissions and contact management.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside Switzerland and the EEA, including in Israel - Wix. Where data is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with the Swiss addendum recognised by the FDPIC.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiry data: 24 months from last contact, unless a business relationship develops, in which case it is retained for the duration of that relationship and for 5 years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Website analytics data: 12 months. We delete or anonymise personal data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
8. Cookies
This website uses cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to function and cannot be turned off. Analytics cookies help us understand how the site is used and are only set with your consent. Functional cookies remember your preferences. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time. Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable law, you have the right to: request access to the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; request deletion; object to or request restriction of processing; withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal; and receive certain data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@sixteen44.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. If you are in Switzerland you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you are in the EEA or UK you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
10. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
This website is directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page withits date of last revision.
